Where is culture going? [Poem]

This all has to do with views and thinking.

The innermost organization of your mind,

Understanding where you are in the cosmic order of billons of sentient beings.

Parading like great dancers each one holding a thread from a big tapestry and waltzing knowingly, choosing their steps.

Can you imagine we all know what we are doing?

Our culture is going with us all.

And we can see where our culture is headed by the great minds we adore learning from,

and those we scrutinize while we analyze and debate.

But the ones that stick to our minds like glue or shape our cultural views, as well as give sighs of relief at sites long overseen that still exist, which reminds us of our human greatness and push back against dying, pheff… making us feel immortal, lasting in the concern for beauty and remarkable human efforts we undertake.

Culture wants to be remembered.
